SPECIAL PRESS RELEASE STATEMENT

Press Release from KMZK-FM 106.9 Radio Z

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

October 29, 2022

“Hello friends and listeners of Radio Z,

What a crazy year 2022 has turned into. I wanted to first THANK YOU all for your continued listener support of our station.

As you know, we were working on a temporary situation, at lower power, as we began working on a new tower deal. Unfortunately, that deal fell through and we were forced to install our new transmitter at our old tower with a temporary antenna. But on the positive side, we are back running and the single seems to be very good in most places, even reaching Dinosaur, and even Vernal, UT.

That said, we are unable to reach out as far as before, but we are back to serving our home. We are in the process of updating our logo, and have a new tag line ‘The ROCK Alternative’. We feel this is a better fit with who we are.

So here is what to expect going forward, I will return to the airwaves from 2pm – 6pm starting this coming Monday (10/31/22). Kain in the Morning will return on Monday, November 7, 22 starting at 6am.

This next week is our test week to make sure everything is running smoothly and our new transmitter is operating normally. We have also introduced our new RDS system, which once we are fully up, should show the song title and artist on your digital radio. So we are excited to finally join the 20th century. LOL.

So there you go, all the current ‘Tea’ about Radio Z. I look forward to hearing from you this next week.

Again, THANK YOU for your continued support of 106.9 Radio Z, The Rock Alternative.

LD – President/CO-Owner”

Special Announcement from KMZK-FM 106.9 Radio Z

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

August 02, 2022

“Hello friends and listeners of Radio Z,

I wanted to first THANK YOU all for your continued listener support of our station during this time of transition and rebuilding after the catastrophic winter power failure and lightning strike that took our transmitter and antenna completely out.

As you know, we have been working on a temporary antenna situation, at lower power, as we began working on a new tower deal and getting new equipment purchased to get us back on the air as soon as possible. All the equipment has been purchased and ready for install. However, we have run into a few issues regarding the new tower site and are working hard on a quick resolution so that we can get working on building out the new transmitter and antenna. I will hopefully have an update in the next week or so on the status of a new antenna site. As soon as I know, I will get the information out to you as soon as I can.

In the meantime, coming up on 08/06/2022, Radio Z will be temporarily taken off air to begin transiting equipment from our current studio location to its new location. We are expecting to only have the signal dead for a short time, however, these things sometimes don’t exactly go as planned, therefore it might be down for longer than expected. Also, once the signal does come back on, the sound and feel of the station will be completely different. You will hear more of an 80’s and 90’s mix, with no commercial interruptions. Don’t fear my friends, this is only a temporary change to allow us to go on a backup automation system to allow us to move our current operation to its new home. We hope to return Radio Z back to its normal operations by Midnight Monday 08/08/2022.

So again, THANK YOU for your continued support of 106.9 Radio Z and we hope these future changes work to make a better station for you.

Sincerely,

LD Grant – President/CO-Owner”
